Great opportunity for two Sr. Designers in the automotive industry in Pontiac, MI! These Sr. Designers will have a minimum of ten years experience in the automotive industry and will design highly complex sub-systems using Unigraphics. Will provide technical design leadership for a major sub-system; will mentor junior designers; will ensure communication between sub-system groups; will verify quality of design team output; will lead/facilitate design reviews; will resolve technical design conflicts; and will adhere to the 4-phase VDP process.
Required skills and/or experience include an in-depth understanding of unit-s products and manufacturing operations; well developed understanding of materials and components; good oral and written communication skills; basic knowledge of algebra, geometry, trigonometry and computer graphics; and relatively high level an analytical and problem solving ability. Qualified candidates will have a two year Associates Degree in Automotive Design or equivalent experience along with extensive training and experience in Unigraphics and descriptive geometry.
